Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) is on the brink of new discoveries that will prevent vision loss and have the exciting potential to restore sight. The eye, as a closed organ, is way out in front in genomic research, with Melbourne’s own CERA world leaders. Meaning that right now, there is hope in sight like never before.
Dark Horse Communications helped CERA develop two key deliverables - a new bequest program and accompanying direct mail appeal, and a comprehensive “philanthropy toolkit” - cases for support for its various research pursuits, pitched at high value audiences. Subsequently, bequest pledges came flooding in and several multi-million dollar gifts were secured. Importantly, these materials tilled the ground for a major capital campaign at
CERA that is now underway.
